Error 2738: Could not access VBScript run time for custom action

Try these steps first:

Unlike most others, the steps from the nitropdf page did not work. After a few more days worth of research, I found that McAfee often causes a problem. McAfee, even after removal, will cause error 2738.

Download the removal tool from:

http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

McAfee leaves behind a few registry entries that cause problems with the vbscript.
